STORM Eunice is a threat to life so severe that the Met Office has been forced to issue a rare RED weather warning.
A severe wind warning covering 90% of the country – including the whole of England and Northern Ireland – is in place as Eunice strikes.
The Met Office’s red alert means there is a danger to life from flying debris caused by the strong winds.
One person has already been taken to hospital with serious injuries caused by debris falling from a roof in Hendon.
And a man has been killed by a falling tree in Ireland’s County Wexford.
Millions have been told to stay at home during the killer 100mph gales, which have already closed schools and shut down several train lines.
Power lines are also likely to be torn down.
This morning the roof of the O2 Arena in London was shredded by killer 122mph winds, with footage showing the roof sheeting flapping in the wind.
