A day later, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomai said on Monday that the party high command would soon take a decision on cabinet expansion or reshuffle. CM Bommai said, “JP Naddaji has said that the meeting will be held in New Delhi. The party high command will decide whether to expand or reshuffle the cabinet. ” CM Bomai met Nadda on April 6 in the national capital.
The development comes amid allegations of corruption and the filing of an FIR against contractor Santosh Patil in connection with his suicide and the expulsion of KS Ishwarappa from the state cabinet. Describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as a major force for the BJP, Bomai said on Sunday that the party would seek a positive mandate from farmers, women and the weaker sections for the good governance provided by the state government.
He said, “Let’s move forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his welfare programs. Let’s go together, victory will be ours. We will reach out to people with our performance report cards and win their hearts. ” He also slammed the Congress, saying the oldest party had no moral right to talk about corruption.
The BJP president chanted the mantra to the workers. The Congress government also compromised the country’s security by scamming defense procurement. Addressing party workers at a meeting of the state executive committee in Hospet on Sunday, Nadda called for ensuring the country moves forward. We are walking with the mantra of ‘Nation First’. Looking ahead to the Assembly elections in Karnataka in a year’s time, Nadda called on the party leaders and workers to reach out to the masses and create awareness about the good work done by the BJP-led government at the Center and in the states.
