Gujarat did not start well
Veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Riddhiman Saha (0), who has been performing consistently since opening for Gujarat this season, could not work at all at this time. Left-arm fast bowler Trent Bolt returned it to the second ball of the innings. However, the Gujarat batsmen did not take the pressure. Shubhaman Gill (35 off 21 balls) with Matthew Wade (35 off 30 balls) rained boundaries in the powerplay. The duo put up a strong base for the team with a partnership of 71 off just 43 balls. However, while trying to score two runs, there was a misunderstanding between the two and Gill was run out. After a while Wade also started walking.
Century partnership between Miller-Hardick
The match seemed to be in Rajasthan’s hands from here. But captain Hardik Pandya (Hardik Pandya) (40 off 27 balls) and David Miller (David Miller) (68 not out, 38 balls, 3 fours, 5 sixes) had different intentions. Despite Rajasthan’s tight bowling and strong fielding, both of them showed their team a ray of victory by making important partnerships. David Miller completed his half century in 35 balls. However, in the 19th over, Obed McCoy gave up just 6 runs in favor of Rajasthan. Then Gujarat needed 16 runs in the last over. The famous Krishna had the ball in his hand. But Miller hit three sixes in a row in the first three balls to take the team to the final with pride. Miller and Hardik combined for 106 off 61 balls for the fourth wicket.
