A FOOD brand has revealed that we’ve all been eating our burgers wrong – and, bizarrely, the right way to tuck into them is to turn them upside down.
Burger company Fat Hippo has shared their hack to not only totally transform the taste of your favourite fast food, but also to make sure it never falls apart in your hands.

The independent burger restaurant group, which specialises in burgers and dirty fries, suggests that customers flip their burger in what they’re calling the “Upside Down Burger Hack”.
According to them, it means that the top side of the burger bun is considerably thicker than the bottom.
This means the bun can absorb much more of the delicious burger’s juices and flavour – creating a fuller taste and ensuring less drips onto your plate.
Fat Hippo’s Executive Chef, Dickie Nelson, is backing the burger hack all the way and maintains that it’s guaranteed to blow customers’ minds.

He said: “We use a 60:40 ratio when slicing the lid and base of buns.
“This allows the juices from the burger to be absorbed into the thicker piece of our demi brioche when using the upside down hack.”
The trick has also been previously commended by social media star Max Klymenko, as he showed how it was done in a now viral TikTok video.
The clip, which has amassed over 900k views and 100k likes, sees Max explaining the method to his 2.5 million followers.

He says: “The only correct way to eat a burger is picking it up and flipping it upside down so that the thick bun is facing downwards, absorbing all the juice.
“This way the burger will never fall apart,” he continues as he takes a huge bite to prove it.

One wrote: “That’s a cool tip, I’ll try eating it upside down next time.” Another added: “I thought I’ve been eating it the wrong way because it feels more comfortable. It turns out that I’ve been doing it right.”
