It is being said that there was heavy rain in the night, due to which the state of emergency has been created in the country. Several submerged roads in the city have been cut off. Many cars were washed away. At present there is no possibility of receding flood waters. The situation is worse in Sharjah and Fujairah. The rescue team is engaged in rescue work. Red alert has been declared in many areas

Around 900 people have been rescued, 3897 people are in shelter homes

The rainfall broke a 27-year record
The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has said that the UAE has recorded its heaviest rainfall in 27 years. After two days of incessant rain, Fujairah’s port station recorded 255.2 mm of rainfall, the highest in the UAE for the month of July. After this, 209.7 mm of rain was recorded in Masafi. At number three is Fujairah, where 187.9 mm of rain has been recorded.
