A terrorist attack has taken place near Pakistan’s Gilgit Baltistan. The attack took place on a passenger bus about 15 kilometers away on its way to Chilas Kohistan in Gilgit Baltistan. At least 8 people were killed and 26 injured in the firing on the bus here. Police said that unknown gunmen had started firing on the bus, now we are investigating the incident.
Giving information, Deputy Commissioner Diamar Arif Ahmed said that a total of 8 people, including 2 security personnel, have lost their lives in the attack on the bus and 26 people, including a civil defense officer, have been injured. According to the DC, the incident took place at Hudur area of Chilas on Saturday at 6.30 pm.
Indiscriminate firing on the bus
He informed that an incident took place in which a cowardly act was carried out by targeting a bus on its way to Chilas Kohistan in Gilgit Baltistan. He said the bus was fired upon causing it to collide with an oncoming truck. The official said that so far five bodies have been identified while three are yet to be identified.
Two army personnel killed
Most of these people are from East Pakistan, including Kohistan, Peshawar, Geezer, Chilas, Roundu, Skardu, Mansehra, Swabi and one or two people from Sindh. DC Ahmed said that two soldiers of the Pakistan Army were also martyred in the cowardly action, while a jawan of the Special Security Unit was also injured.

The police started investigating the incident
Diamer Superintendent of Police Sardar Shahyar said about the attack that the dead and injured were taken to the hospital. He said that the truck which collided with the bus also caught fire and its driver died. He also said that the rest of the cars present there were saved.
