Ranjeet Singh Neeta remains one of the notable names not only in India but across Asia and Europe, unfortunately, for the wrong reasons. He became popular in 2009 following an attack on a group of worshippers in Guru Sri Ravidass Gurdwara (Temple), which he was alleged to have orchestrated. Over the years, India has witnessed such attacks, destabilizing the country and creating fear among people while causing economic hardship for Indian citizens.
Ranjeet Singh Neeta was reported to have absconded to Pakistan where he took cover after the National investigation agency of India evidences against him to Interpol. However, he somehow found a way of operating from his hiding, causing havoc in India and other parts of Asia while assuming a new identity as allegedly issued by the ISI of Pakistan under the name of Sardar Manpreet Singh.
February 2021 would have ordinarily have been one of the best days for millions of Indians, if not for the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic, as reports filtered in that Ranjeet Singh Neeta had died due to cardiac arrest. Some independent news channels in UK and Canada covered the story as well as Wikipedia. However, an independent journalist based in Vienna and a member of the federation of an investigative journalist (details confidential) who has closely followed the news discovered that the cause of death was not cardiac arrest following an expose by the federation of international investigative journalists.
Ranjeet Singh Neeta was reported to have been poisoned on the 2nd of February 2021 and his body was taken to the CMH, a military hospital based in Lahore where he was confirmed dead and his body moved to the outskirts of Lahore to be cremated secretly. The details were revealed in exchange of money by a serving ISI officer named as Major Akram Lodhi (commissioned in PMA 108 course). The master trader is under custody with his own ISI and facing charges of high treason for selling secrets.
Several conspiracy theories have greeted the death of Ranjeet Singh Neeta and his escapades while alive. However, the fact remains that justice will always be served even if it takes time, irrespective of the personality. Since the Pakistan side has never responded to these allegations so the conspiracy theories turning into hard evidence against the state within the state itself.
