A BUSY Scottish mum has found a unique solution to help her spend more time with her family – batch cooking.
Suzanne Mulholland, 47, has gained a large following on Instagram and YouTube after showing viewers how to whip up large meals that can be frozen and stored.

The savvy mum, who stays in the Scottish Borders, initially decided to put her time management specialist skills to use by meal prepping at the weekend so she would get extra time with her teens.
However, she now finds batch cooking saves her from being strapped for cash during the cost of living crisis.
Speaking to the BBC, she said: “Time is the thing that always sort of interests me in life – how to save time – but actually, as a consequence, you automatically save money.
“I think you could drop 50% off the cost of your shopping.
“It’s not just about what you buy, it’s about how you store that stuff once you buy it.
“If you can buy lots of frozen fruit and vegetables then it’s going to last for weeks and weeks and you’re not throwing it in the bin and buying it again at the end of the week.
“Because I write cookery books on freezer food, I obviously have massive giant freezers out in one of my barns
“But actually I do show throughout all my social media how you only need a three-drawer freezer.
“You can get about 15 meals for a family of four in one freezer drawer.”
Elsewhere, a working mum-of-three thinks she’s got saving money on groceries nailed thanks to a handy discount store on her doorstep, but trolls aren’t quite so convinced by her questionable purchases.
Rach Dory said she can do her weekly shop at Company Shop – a supermarket which claims to sell surplus food, drink and household bits at a much cheaper price than regular stores – for £20, picking up some items for free.
But there’s a catch as many of the items expired on the date she was buying them.
“Not a bad little haul there, that’ll keep our household going,” she smiles.
“People moan about the dates [being so close to their use-by] and yes some of it is, but I will freeze a lot and we will eat most of this within a day.
“I do it all the time and nobody’s died. We’re all good.”
One troll spoke up in the comments and moaned: “It’s not that good, you have to pay for a membership and everything goes off that day.”
