On November 8th, the 6th China International Import Expo 2023 G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta High-quality Development Factors Matchmaking Conference was held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center – “Four-leaf Clover”.
Nine cities gathered in China International Import Expo to jointly develop a new blueprint, and plan and promote the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta to achieve a higher level of collaborative opening, deeper level of collaborative innovation, and broader areas of collaborative development, thus accelerating the construction of an advanced valley to facilitate the transformation from “Made in China” to “Created in China”, a pilot valley driven by the twin wheels of technological and institutional innovation and a pioneering valley for the integrated development of industries and cities, and making G60 contributions to the construction of “the Belt and Road Initiative” and the empowerment of integrated high-quality development.
The Conference was full of highlights and fruitful results. During the conference, a number of major scientific and technological innovations in the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta were released, a number of important carriers to serve the construction of “the Belt and Road Initiative” were launched, a number of major factor and resource service platforms were initiated, the construction of a number of “science and technology+industry+finance” cross-domain cooperation demonstration parks were started, and a number of major cooperation projects were signed.
Songjiang District of Shanghai is the source of the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta. Since the construction of the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta started on May 24, 2016, it has been included in the top-level design of the Outline of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Integrated Development Plan in 2019 after experiencing version 1.0 of “Starting from Songjiang”, version 2.0 of “Connecting Jiaxing and Hangzhou” and version 3.0 of “Jointly Building Nine Cities”.
In 2020, the Ministry of Science and Technology and other five ministries and commissions jointly issued the Construction Plan of the G60 S&T Innovation Valley of the Yangtze River Delta. In 2021, it was included into the national Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035. In 2022, it was included in the inaugural issue of the Research on Xi Jinping’s Economic Thought as an advanced experience of local high-quality development. The ability of the Valley to allocate resource and factors and drive development of its surrounding areas by providing services has been significantly strengthened, creating a new path of coordinated development.
