It is not only Ayodhya that has become auspicious with respect to Pran Pratishta, but many cities of the world are also eager to be a part of this festival through many programs in their respective places. Let’s see what preparations are being made around the world for the celebration and Prana Pratishta in Ayodhya on January 22. At which place outside the country preparations have been made for the grand event? Programs will be organized not only in India but in more than 60 countries including America, Britain, Canada, Australia, Germany and Japan. Not only this, Ram Yatra is also organized in many big cities.
There will be rain of flowers in Ayodhya
Let’s start with Uttar Pradesh, where preparations are underway for the grand event. On January 22, Air Force helicopters will shower flowers on the Ram temple in Ayodhya during Pran Pratishta.
There is a buzz of excitement not only in India but across the world regarding the Pran Pratishtha Mohotsav to be held in Ayodhya on January 22. A large number of Ram devotees have started arriving in Ayodhya to participate in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the child form idol of Lord Rama in the newly constructed temple. Meanwhile, grandiose events are being organized in Ayodhya on this auspicious occasion, while more than 60 countries, including Britain and America, will be organizing programs to celebrate Prana Pratistha.
After the central government announced half-day holiday to central employees on January 22, now many state governments have also announced half-day holiday. Several state governments, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Tripura, have declared a half-day holiday on January 22. Goa has also declared a public holiday in the state. Haryana government has also announced closure of schools for one day.
Ram Bhajan will be played in buses of UP
Not only this, central institutions, public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions as well as regional rural banks (RRBs) across the country will be closed for half a day on Monday. In keeping with the Prana Pratishtha programme, the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana has declared “No Working Day” in the Punjab-Haryana High Court as well as the District Courts of Haryana and Punjab.
Uttar Pradesh Transport Department has also made special preparations for this day. Seeing the enthusiasm of Ram devotees, the Yogi government has given directions. The transport department will play Ram Bhajan in all buses on this day. Today’s bhajans and songs related to Rama will also be played along with bhajans sung by renowned artists. Bhajans by local singers will also be played.
Organized procession in Shimla of HP
Ramayana, Ramcharitmanas Path, Sundarkand Path and Bhajan Kirtan have been organized in Ayodhya temples on 14th January and will continue till 24th March. Regarding Pran Pratistha, Shobha Yatra will be taken out on January 21 and 22 in several districts, including Gorakhpur and Maharajganj, the parliamentary constituencies of CM Yogi Adityanath. Preparations for many grand programs have also been made in other districts of the state.
In Himachal Pradesh too, enthusiasm is being seen regarding Pran Pratistha. The 3-day program is starting from tomorrow, Saturday (January 20) in the capital Shimla. The procession will start from the Kalibari temple in Shimla on Saturday. The procession will pass through Lower Bazaar, Mall Road, CTO and Krishna Mandir. Akhand Patha will start from January 21 in Shimla’s Ram Mandir. Which will be completed on January 22 at 10 am. Thousands of lamps will be lit here at sunset.
Ram situation in Nepal too
Neighboring Nepal is also celebrating and special prayers will be offered in more than 3 thousand temples on this day. From the famous Pashupatinath temple in the capital Kathmandu, special pooja will be held in all the Shaktipeeths. Apart from this, special pooja-archana will be held from morning in all Shaktipeeths including Guheshwari temple, Maitidevi temple and Bhadrakali. After that Bhajan Kirtan will be performed in the afternoon and Havan will be performed in the evening.
Nepal government has also asked people to perform special worship on this day. Besides, people have been asked to refrain from selling alcohol and non-vegetarian items on this day. In the Ram Janaki temple in Janakpur city of Nepal, every house is asked to light a lamp and celebrate. 1.25 lakh lamps will be lit in Janaki Mandir. Like India, Nepal also has a festive atmosphere and Diwali will be celebrated here on this day.
Ram Yatra organized in Paris
In many countries of the world, Prana is to be celebrated with dignity. The Pran Pratistha ceremony will be telecast live in more than 50 countries. It will be telecast live in many countries including America, Britain, Australia, Canada, Fiji, Indonesia and Germany. More than 300 locations in the US and 30 locations in Australia will host Prana Pratistha events. Ram Yatra will be taken up to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. In America, it will be broadcast live on a big screen in New York’s Times Square.

ISKCON has around 900 temples around the world and on this day Diwali will be celebrated here and the temples will be completely lit up with lights of lamps. On this day, Kirtan of Lord Rama will be performed in ISKCON temples. Prasad and books will also be offered to the devotees. Preparations for the celebrations have been completed in several foreign cities including London, New York and Los Angeles. Food and drink arrangements have also been made for the people coming to the ceremony.
