Congress Central Election Committee meeting was held in Delhi. This meeting is over. In which the candidates of 62 seats of 6 states have been discussed. The second Congress list may be announced today. In the second list, candidates for 24 Gujarat Congress seats will also be announced. Along with this, the meeting of the screening committee of states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Assam was held.
Names of Ganiben, Lalit Vasoya, Chandanji Thakor decided
If we talk about the candidates of Gujarat Congress, then the names of the candidates of Banaskantha, Patan and Valsad, Ahmedabad West and Porbandar seats can be announced. During the ongoing CEC meeting in Delhi, Lalit Vasoya has been instructed to contest the election from Porbandar. Lalit Vasoya was called by the high command and he has been selected to contest against BJP’s Mansukh Mandaviya from Porbandar. Including this, the name of Ganiben Thakor from Banaskantha is fixed. Anant Patel from Valsad, Chandanji Thakor from Patan have been asked to contest.

After North Gujarat, Congress can field its own MLA in South Gujarat as well. At present Congress has only one MLA in South Gujarat. Anant Patel is Congress MLA from Vansda seat of Navsari. Anant Patel may contest from Valsad. Anant Patel is a big face for Congress in South Gujarat. He is also known among the tribals for his aggressive temper.
Congress will announce the names of candidates for 24 seats in Gujarat
Out of 26 seats in Gujarat, the Congress is contesting on 24 seats while the Grand Alliance has won 2 seats. Aam Aadmi Party and Congress have formed an alliance in Gujarat. In which Congress has allocated Bharuch and Bhavnagar Lok Sabha seats to you. In which your Umesh Makwana is on the Bhavnagar seat while your Chaitar Vasava is on the Bharuch seat. BJP is yet to announce its candidate for Bhavnagar seat, while Mansukh Vasava is contesting from Bharuch seat for the seventh time in a row.
It is unlikely that these names will get tickets in Congress
According to reliable sources, Congress may drop Kamnath along with Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Jitendra Singh, Digvijay Singh in this Lok Sabha. The possibility of him getting a ticket is shown to be negligible.
Rahul will contest from Wayanad, Shashi Tharoor from Trivandrum
Congress has announced the names of 39 candidates in its first list. According to this list, Rahul Gandhi will contest from Wayanad. Apart from Rahul, the names of Bhupesh Baghel and Shashi Tharoor are also in this list. Rahul Gandhi will contest from his current seat Wayanad. Bhupesh Baghel will be fielded from Rajnandgaon. While Shashi Tharoor will contest from Thiruvananthapuram seat in Kerala.
In the first list of Congress, 15 candidates belong to general category. While 24 candidates belong to SC-ST, OBC and minority category. 4 women candidates have been included in these 39 names. Currently there are candidates from Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Lakshadweep. Also, there are candidates from Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland and Tripura. There is not a single candidate from Gujarat in the first list. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal has said that if the government is formed, we will fulfill all the promises. We are completing this in Telangana and Karnataka.
