Aamir Sarfraz, who killed Indian citizen Sarabjit Singh, who was held hostage in a Lahore jail in Pakistan, is out today. Unknown assailants have shot and killed. Sarabjit Singh died on 2 May 2013. On 26 April 2013, he was fatally attacked in a Pakistani jail, after which he died.
Sarabjit’s killer killed in Pakistan
Underworld don Aamir Sarfraz was involved in this murder. It is said that Sarabjit Singh was strangled with polythene and beaten to death. Sarabjit Singh was tortured to death. According to reports, it was believed that Sarfaraz carried out the incident at the behest of the ISI.
Sarabjit was arrested by the Pakistani army on charges of espionage in Pakistan. Sarabjit, a native of Punjab, was sentenced to death on charges of terrorism and espionage after the 1991 bomb blasts in Lahore and Faisalabad. However, before his sentencing, some inmates attacked Sarabjit in April 2013.
Who was Sarabjit?
Sarabjit Singh was a farmer from Bhikhiwind village in Tarn Taran district on the India-Pakistan border. On 30 August 1990, he inadvertently crossed the Pakistani border where he was arrested by the Pakistani army. Sarabjit was only 26 years old at that time. There was a long struggle for Sarabjit’s release. But Sarabjit was killed before he could be released.
A former fellow prisoner of Sarabjit Singh, who stayed with him in Lahore jail, claimed that the Pakistan government was behind Sarabjit’s death. After some time, Pakistan arrested accused Aamir Tamba and Muddsar for extortion. According to reports, both of them were locked in Sarabjit Singh’s cell and tortured him continuously till his death in May 2013.
