Recently, Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikek won a silver medal in Paris Olympics 2024. Yusuf participated in the competition in a casual look and won big. His common man avatar and shooting was much talked about on social media. Yusuf has gone viral on the internet after winning the silver medal. However, in the meantime, Bollywood actor Adil Hussain started getting compliments in place of Yusuf Dikek.
A user on X tagged Adil Hussain and wrote, 'Congratulations Adil Hussain for winning silver for Turkey in Olympics 2024. Adil immediately understood the joke and while sharing it he replied, 'I wish this was true…maybe it's never too late for practice. I have the attitude, I am starting to work on the skills as well.'
During the interview, Adil was asked if he saw any similarities in his look and Yusuf Dicek's. On this he said, 'Absolutely not. I don't think we have anything in common except our hair and glasses frames. That tweet was made in jest, so I took it that way. It was very funny.
Turkish shooter Yusuf Dicak lost to a Serbian shooter in the final round. In such condition he won silver medal instead of gold. However, after his win, he became an overnight internet sensation due to his casual look. Yusuf began to be discussed in the country and abroad. The shooter was spotted at the Olympics wearing his team's white T-shirt and track pants. Unlike other shooters, Yusuf did not wear any special equipment like eye cover or air cover. He wore only his glasses and won silver in the 10m pistol event.
Adil Hussain has also talked about this in one of his interviews. He said, 'I don't think the tweet was made because of a misunderstanding. He did this knowingly. This has been a joke. So when I saw that I didn't feel sad. In fact, I found it quite funny.
