Came to Ayodhya with Kaikeyi

According to the story, when Kaikeyi was married to King Dasaratha, her maid Manthara came with her to Ayodhya from her maternal home.

According to the legend, Manthara was actually the daughter of King Aswapati's brother Vridashva. Manthara was a very beautiful princess before. Kaikeyi and Manthra being sisters were good friends. How did Manthara become ugly?
