Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a US tour. Speaking at the UN on Monday, the PM said that the success of humanity lies in our collective strength. Not on the battlefield. The Prime Minister also spoke about the upcoming summit at the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Prime Minister said in his address that I have come here to raise the voice of India. We have lifted 250 million people out of poverty in India. We have shown that sustainable development can be successful. We are ready to share this experience of success with the Global South.
Global peace requires reforms in global institutions.
The PM said that the people of India have given me the opportunity to serve for the third consecutive term in the biggest election in human history in June. Today I am here to convey the voice of my people to you. When we talk about the global future, a human-centered approach must come first. Human welfare, food and health security must also be ensured for global peace and development while prioritizing sustainable development.
Terrorism is a serious threat to global peace
The Prime Minister also raised the issue of terrorism in his address. He said that terrorism is a serious threat to global peace. Areas such as cyber, sea and space have become new areas of conflict.

Global work should be such that it matches global ambitions. The PM said that India is ready to share its digital public infrastructure with the world.
We want to further accelerate our relationship
Before his speech at the UN, PM Modi held separate meetings with several world leaders, including Nepalese PM KP Sharma Oli and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. In which issues of bilateral relations were discussed. PM Modi is in New York as part of a three-day visit to the US.
In his post on social media platform X, PM Modi said that the meeting with Prime Minister KP Oli in New York was very good. Friendship between India and Nepal is very strong. We want to further accelerate our relationship. Our conversation focused on issues like energy, technology and trade.
