Hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organised by the Korea Creative Content Agency, “The Oulim” – A New Technology Fusion Content Global Festival will take place from 18th to 27th October at London’s renowned contemporary art museum, the Saatchi Gallery. The Oulim is an international exhibition showcasing Korea’s leading new technology fusion content to local consumers and businesses. The event is designed to expand opportunities for domestic Korean content companies to infiltrate overseas markets, focussing on promoting K-content on the global stage in particular.
During the event, a total of 23 companies will showcase over 40 types of new technology fusion content across five sectors: AI and digital humans, media art, metaverse/gaming/VR, NFT content, and multifaceted content.
Within the “AI and Digital Humans” segment, under the theme “Face of the Future”, visitors can experience how AI and digital human technologies are shaping our future. The “Metaverse, Gaming and VR” section curated under the theme “Technology Creates a New World”, showcases a collection of metaverse and gaming content that create an entirely new world through the wonders of digital technology. In addition, the “Multifaceted content” segment, themed “The Birth of New Cultural Content”, demonstrates how K-content has evolved into a new form of cultural content through its fusion with technology. The “Media Art” section, under the theme “Weaving Tradition with Innovation”, presents media art content that reconstructs Korean culture with a refreshed digital perspective. Lastly, the “NFT” section, themed “Embrace New Masterpieces”, offers an opportunity to experience new masterpieces in the digital age through NFTs.
Moreover, “The Oulim 2024” will host important B2B events aimed at promoting the globalisation of Korea’s content industry. These will include an IR (Investor Relations) programme, where leading Korean content companies will present their innovative technologies and business models to global investors and partners. There will also be a conference focussed on discussing the future of new technologies and the interconnected creative industries, as well as a business matchmaking programme to explore direct collaboration opportunities.
