Last week, nine of the top 10 most valuable companies in the Sensex had a market capitalization of Rs. 2,09,952.26 crore was reduced. Hindustan Unilever (HUL shares) and Reliance Industries were the top losers. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex fell by 1,822.46 points or 2.24 percent.
Among the top 10 Sensex companies, only HDFC Bank's market valuation has increased. In the week under review, the market valuation of Hindustan Unilever stood at Rs. 44,195.81 crore reduced to Rs. 5,93,870.94 crores.
The market capitalization of Reliance Industries is Rs. 41,994.54 crores down to Rs. 17,96,726.60 crores. State Bank of India (SBI) has a market capitalization of Rs. 35,117.72 crore reduced to Rs. 6,96,655.84 crore, while Bharti Airtel's market value was Rs. 24,108.72 crore reduced to Rs. 9,47,598.89 crores.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has a market capitalization of Rs. 23,137.67 crore reduced to Rs. 14,68,183.73 crores. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is valued at Rs. 19,797.24 crore reduced to Rs. 5,71,621.67 crore, while Infosys was valued at Rs. 10,629.49 crores down to Rs. 7,69,496.61 crores. ITC's market cap is Rs. 5,690.96 crore down to Rs. 6,02,991.33 crore and ICICI Bank's market cap is Rs. 5,280.11 crore reduced to Rs. 8,84,911.27 crores.
Contrary to this trend, HDFC Bank's market capitalization stood at Rs. 46,891.13 crore increased to Rs. 13,29,739.43 crores. Reliance Industries topped the list of top 10 companies. It is followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, ITC, Hindustan Unilever and LIC respectively.
