Strict Hijab Law in Iran
Iran has very strict laws regarding hijab. In fact, according to regulations implemented after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iranian women have to cover their hair in public. Also, they are not allowed to sing in public places. Recently, new laws regarding hijab have been implemented in the country, according to which women who violate the rules of hijab can be punished with death. Under Section 60 of the new law, women found guilty can be punished with fines, whipping or rigorous imprisonment.
