The dumpers running at high speed in Bhavnagar city are becoming a problem for the people. In the last 10 days, 11 people have become spiders after being hit by a reckless dumper. The system is also turning a blind eye to these dumpers roaming like Yamaraja in the city and watching the spectacle of death. In the city, there was again a traffic jam in the Ghogha area. 2 people were crushed by a dumper driver on the road from Ghoghana Hatab to Lakhanka. Two Nepali persons have died while riding a dumper bike at full speed. Nepalese laborers Sant Bahadur Kami and Mahendra Damai died on the spot. The menace of dumpers in the city has increased so much that innocent people are dying at any time.
This is not the first time in Bhavnagar. Traffic awareness drives have been going on in the city for quite some time now, but there is no check on unruly dumpers. Earlier in Vallabhipur, one person was killed after being hit by a dumper. 8 days ago, 6 people were killed in a collision of travels in a dumper. 5 days ago a young teenager died in Gariyadhar. In total, 11 people have died due to dumpers in 10 days. Then the biggest question is why the system is in Kumbhakarna's sleep despite the death of so many people? Why is there no control against such unscrupulous dumper drivers?
On the other hand, there is also a debate about the rampant movement of dumpers that illegal mineral smuggling has increased. Innocent dumpers run at night to evade the authorities and innocent people run into them. There is an urgent need to curb this trend.
