Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced the Union Budget 2025-26 on February 1. In this budget, India has also allocated the budget for its neighboring countries.
The Foreign Ministry (MEA) has allocated Rs 5,483 crore for assistance to foreign countries, which is slightly less than Rs 5,806 crore last year. The Foreign Ministry's total budget is Rs 20,516 crore.
India has allocated Rs 600 crore this year for Maldives, which is 200 crore more than last year. Maldives is trying to improve relations with New Delhi due to tensions due to a pro -China attitude following President Mohammad Muizo's election victory.

India will provide the most help to Bhutan in 2025-26. Bhutan will get Rs 2,150 crore. That is more than last year's allocation of Rs 2,068 crore.
Speaking of Bangladesh, the amount of assistance provided to Bangladesh has been kept at Rs 120 crore after the diplomatic differences between the two countries after the expulsion of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
