There are now hours of counting for the completion of Prayagraj Mahakumbh. During the last bath festival of Mahakumbh on Mahashivratri on February 26, a advance arrangement has been made for the possibility of heavy crowds. The no-vehicle zone has been implemented from February 25, today, in the fair area and Prayagraj city. In addition, tight police arrangements have been made throughout the city. The administration estimates that more than 300 million devotees will come to the confluence site at the final bath festival of Mahakumbh.
According to Kumbh Mela Police, on February 25, 2025, the fair area has been declared a no-vehicle zone from 4:00 am. While Prayagraj Commissioner has been made a no-vehicle zone from 6:00 pm. Officials said everyone was requested to help maintain this system. In order to keep the crowded, everyone has been appealed to bathe on the mold near the entrance.
The Mahakumbh administration is planned for bathing based on the number of devotees coming from all four directions. Devotees coming from South Zussi will be able to bathe at the Aravat Ghat at Sangam Gate. Devotees coming from North Zusi will bathe on Sangam Harishchandra Ghat and Sangam on the old GT Ghat. Similarly, devotees coming from the parade will be able to bathe at Sangam Gate Bhardwaj Ghat.
Those coming from Sangam gate will bathe at Nagasuki Ghat, Sangam Gate Mori Ghat, Sangam Dar Kali Ghat, Sangam Gate Ram Ghat, Sangam Dar Hanuman Ghat. Devotees coming from Aral will bathe at the Aral Ghat at the Sangam gate.
Vehicles carrying essential items such as drugs, milk, vegetables, ambulances and vehicles of government employees (doctors, police, administration) will not be banned. The Mahakumbh festival will end with Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025. The devotees have been requested to leave their destination quickly by bathing on a nearby ferry and visiting the Shiva temple.
The guidelines also said that all the Pontoon Bridge would be operated with the pressure of the crowd. The devotees have been appealed that all the molds are known as Sangam, so the devotees should bathe on the nearest ferry and cooperate in traffic and crowded management.
