Road roads, traffic jams and accidents are on the rise in Ahmedabad. The High Court also hit the traffic police. Following the High Court's collision, the traffic police have filed a fine of Rs 13.21 crore in a traffic drive by making cases against 2 lakh 155 vehicles violating traffic rules in 23 days.
The drive has been prosecuted against the highest helmet and rong side drivers. In the two -and -a -half months of the current year 2025, 6.84 lakh vehicles have been filed against them and a fine of Rs 45 crore has been imposed.
However, JCP Narendra Chowdhury of the traffic department says that due to more accidents due to the vehicle coming from Rong Side, the traffic department has launched a proposal to lodge a complaint against such drivers through the Rong Side Drive. So if there is a complaint against the people, then the people coming to Rong Side will be afraid.
Ahmedabad is at the forefront of not complying with traffic. Because a fine of crores of rupees has been imposed. After that, in 2024, the traffic police imposed a fine of Rs 56 crore.
However, from 2023 to the current year 2025, a total penalty has been levied. But there is no awareness among the drivers. And they are violating the traffic rules. So that the traffic police will now register a complaint against such drivers and arrest them.
