
An Indian student, who lives in Hamilton, Canada’s Ontario province, was shot dead and killed. Harsimrat, 21, was studying at Mehok College and was waiting for the bus at the bus stop at the time of the incident.
How did the crime happen?
According to local police, a collision between two groups was going on at the time of the incident. Both groups were firing at each other. Harsimrat was also present at that time and a pill was mistaken by the student.
The hospital could not survive even though he was immediately shifted to the hospital
Police shifted Harsimrat to the hospital in critical condition, but died during treatment. The pill was especially near the chest, which caused further damage.

Contact of Indian Embassy
The Toronto -based Indian embassy lamented that he was in touch with Harsimrat’s family and was providing all assistance. The embassy said, “We stand with the family of Harsimrat at this tragic moment.”

Information from police investigation and CCTV
Police have launched a search on the basis of nearby CCTV footage. The footage shows that a man sitting in a black car fired and then fled the scene. The search for the accused is currently underway.

Following the incident, there has been an atmosphere of fear among Indian students studying in Canada. This phenomenon has become a worry for many Indians, especially for those who go abroad for study.
