CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis has had a hectic fortnight since a memorable Masters.
Balionis, 38, was on a high like most sports fans during a pulsating week in Augusta, Georgia.
She was a key part of CBS’ broadcast from the Augusta National Golf Club[/caption]
She had a front-row seat to see Rory McIlroy’s dramatic playoff win over Justin Rose to complete a career grand slam.
The drama was watched by fans on CBS in the United States with Balionis playing a key role.
And the reporter has had no time to catch her breath since.
“Back to it – consistency not perfection,” she wrote in an Instagram stories post while in the gym.
“Certainly wasn’t perfect with my 10k a day last week, doesn’t mean anything for this week.”
Balionis was full of gratitude for working Masters week on CBS.
She posted on Instagram congratulating McIlroy and sharing her thoughts on the tournament.
“It took 17 Masters starts, 11 years of attempting to complete the career Grand Slam and 73 this week,” Balionis wrote.
“But Rory McIlroy has his Green Jacket and has solidified his legacy alongside Tiger, Jack, Gary, Hogan and Sarazen.
“What a week and a battle down to the very end.”
She added, “2025 has been all about gratitude and last week was no exception.
“So grateful for these experiences, the people I get to learn from and work with and for those who somehow make the best job in the world even better.
“Until next year Augusta.”
Balionis hot-footed it to Harbour Town in for another golf event on CBS last week.
She watched Justin Thomas end his three-year wait for a title at the RBC Heritage.
“It’s been nearly three years but Justin Thomas is again a champion,” the CBS reporter said.
“With his wife, Jillian, and his daughter, Molly Grace, there to celebrate, this one was full of emotion and gratitude.
“Win number 16 may have taken some time, but it was very clearly worth the wait.”
And Balionis was on the move again from Hilton Head, South Carolina to New Orleans, Louisiana.
She is reporting on the Zurich Classic this week while also finding time for her other passion.
The 38-year-old said on Instagram, “Come with me to visit one of my favorite animal shelters Animal Rescue New Orleans before the Zurich Classic.
“We (@puppiesandgolf) have been partnering with this incredible rescue for the last five years.
“The work they do in the New Orleans community is unwavering and unmatched.
“They have SO MANY perfect pups ready for their forever home.”
