On the morning of May 13, the 5th Huai River Chinese Business Conference opened, with nearly 300 prominent overseas Chinese leaders and business representatives in attendance.
Stretching for thousands of miles, the picturesque Huai River links the region as one, rich in invaluable resources and brimming with rare development opportunities. Driven by a series of major national strategies, the Huai River region is experiencing a resurgence of vitality and dynamic growth. Today, carrying new missions and expectations, the Huai River Chinese Business Conference convenes once again on the beautiful banks of the Huai River, joining hands with distinguished guests to envision a future of “Connecting Jianghuai, Embracing the Future with Intelligence.”
In 2021, Huai’an, as the first city to advocate and implement the national strategy for the Huai River Ecological Economic Belt, hosted the inaugural Huai River Chinese Business Conference. Rooted in the Huai River and oriented toward the world, the conference has served as a solid bridge for overseas Chinese leaders and entrepreneurs to explore opportunities in Jiangsu and connect with Huai’an. It has injected strong momentum into promoting integrated and coordinated regional economic development. In the name of the river and for the sake of development, over the past five years Huai’an and global Chinese entrepreneurs have joined forces to write a chapter of mutual understanding, shared direction, and win-win cooperation.
Looking ahead, Huai’an is committed to expanding high-level opening-up and further integrating into regional division of labor and industrial collaboration. The city sincerely hopes that enterprises will take this conference as an opportunity to spark new ideas, share industry insights, and deepen cooperation and partnerships.
In their remarks, guest representatives praised Huai’an as a city that blends historical depth with modern vitality. Its unique geographical advantages, comprehensive industrial infrastructure, and favorable business environment provide strong support for enterprise development. They emphasized the emotional bond and shared aspirations between their businesses and Huai’an, as both are nourished by the Huai River and united by the Chinese Dream. Leveraging the platform of the Huai River Chinese Business Conference, they aim to explore specific projects and cooperation opportunities to inject new momentum into Huai’an’s high-quality development.
At the opening ceremony, a major project signing event was held. From January to April, the city signed 339 new projects each valued at over 100 million yuan, with a total agreed investment of 171.3 billion yuan.
