For the first time in the state, Obesity Clinic has been launched in the state to control a serious health problem like obesity. The clinic has been launched in Ward No. 14 of Gandhinagar Civil Hospital, which is an important step under the nationwide campaign for “Obesity Relief”.
The treatment and guidance of 569 patients has been provided at this Obacity clinic, which started in the first week of May. The weight, height and body mass index (BMI) of patients is examined by specialist doctors and nursing staff. At the same time, each patient is given the necessary advice and guidance by the councilors according to their physical condition.
In controlling obesity, the potential risk of serious illnesses such as heart disease, blood pressure and diabetes can also be reduced. Considering that obesity is one of the main reasons for the increasing heart disease, especially in the youth, other hospitals in the state are also planning to launch such clinics.
This is the first such important thing to fulfill the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s healthy India. Obesity clinic guides patients for regular exercise, yoga and stress, which helps them adopt a healthy lifestyle.
