The incident took place in Lesliganj area of Medininagar, where all the roads were closed for a family struggling against poverty and illness, he took this step in forced. According to media reports, Chief Minister Hemant Soren took note of the incident and directed the administration and the police to take speedy action.
Police then found an innocent child from Lathar district, which was allegedly sold to a couple. Lesliganj Police Circle Officer Sunil Kumar Singh said that the parents have been identified as Ramachandra Ram and Pinki Devi.
What was forced?
'Ramachandra Ram' is a laborer and runs Gujarat with daily wages. He said that due to continuous rains, he has been unemployed for the last few months. His wife Pinky Devi was ill from the birth of a child. They had to make such a decision due to lack of money for treatment and food. Ram said, “I did not even have the money to treat his wife or to feed the children. In this case, I had to take this step.” This homeless and destitute family does not even have a safe place to live. They are living in a dilapidated cottage with four other children.
After the case came out, the district administration provided 20kg of grain as an assistance to the family and the process of connecting various government welfare schemes has also been started.
