
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has conducted massive raids in Gujarat in connection with the terror group Al-Qaeda India. The NIA team conducted searches in Umargam area of Valsad district.
Apart from Valsad, the NIA has also conducted simultaneous action in 10 other places in the country. During these raids, the investigating agency has seized several digital devices and other electronic evidence, which will further clarify the link with the terror network.
The case dates back to the year 2023, when some Bangladeshi nationals were caught by the Gujarat ATS. These people were accused of funding Al-Qaeda India and collaborating in terrorist activities.
The case was then handed over to the NIA for further investigation. The action currently being taken by the NIA is aimed at exposing this funding network and its international connections.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has started a probe into the Gujarat terror conspiracy case. Under this investigation, NIA teams conducted simultaneous raids in 5 states — West Bengal, Tripura, Meghalaya, Haryana and Gujarat.
During the investigation, the teams have seized several digital evidences and incriminating documents. All these evidences are being examined in detail by the forensic teams so that every link of the terror network can be brought out.
The NIA investigation has revealed that four Bangladeshi nationals including Mohammad Sojibmia, Munna Khalid Ansari alias Jahangir alias Akash Khan, Abdul Latif alias Mominul Ansari entered India illegally.
The investigation has also revealed that all these Bangladeshi citizens had direct contact with the Al Qaeda terrorist organization. They used to collect funds for Al Qaeda and transfer them through various channels.
To unravel this entire terror funding network, NIA has conducted search operations at a total of 10 locations in 5 states. It is possible that many important evidences of the terror network have been seized through this action.
