Virat Kohli scored a brilliant century of 135 runs in the first ODI against South Africa. It was during his explosive innings that a big hoax spread on social media, Virat Kohli is retiring from Test cricket and BCCI is persuading him to come back.

Clarification of BCCI
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia gave an official statement on the issue. He said: “Whatever retirement rumors are doing the rounds about Virat Kohli, they are completely false. BCCI has not discussed retirement with Virat and is not going to. Do not take this news as credible.”
Why did the talk of Virat's return start?
India suffered a 0–2 clean sweep in the Test series against South Africa. As the batting of Team India did not go well in the two Tests, questions were raised on the shot selection of the young players. After that there was a demand on social media to bring Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma back to the Test team.
Based on these rumours, media reports claimed that the BCCI was in talks with Virat and Rohit about coming back from retirement — but the BCCI has flatly denied it.
