Devotees coming to Bhavnath Mela get the blessings of monks from different arenas. Mahant Mahamandaleshwar Mahendranandagiri of Mujkund Gufa had a special conversation with tv9 correspondent about how many types of this arena there are and where the monks come to this fair. Mahamandleshwar Mahendranandgiriji said that…
When Adiguru Shankaracharya Bhagwan established akhadas and established mathas in all directions, only organ exercises were done in akhadas. Soldiers and warriors were trained there to protect religion. He was given knowledge of scriptures along with weapons. A person living within these akhadas who has joined the sannyas tradition is prepared and employed for society, for the religion of humanity, for the religion of Sanatana and for the religion of Hinduism.
Where are the three arenas in Junagadh? What is its significance? Which monks are included in which arena?
There are three Akharas functioning in Junagadh. including the Agni, Juna, and Invocation arenas. Lord Datta Maharaj is seated in the venerable place of the old arena. Goddess Gayatri is worshiped in Agni Akhara. Lord Shri Ganesh is worshiped in Ahawan Akhara. The worship of these three deities and their very first Dhaja and Mataji’s Rawadi comes out. Then the monks and hermits of the three arenas go out into it.
Akhara also has a cabinet and a constitution
First 13 arena organization is formed. In which General Minister, Chairman, Treasurer, Vice Chairman are appointed. After that, each arena has its own cabinet. Which also has a chairman, general secretary, working minister. Within this discipline every ascetic accepts it. And it has a duration of three three years.
At Bhavnath, the number of sannyasis decreases after bathing in Mrigikund
Whatever music is played in Bhavnath, many saints will be seen walking outside, but when Rawadi leaves, the number of saints has increased many times. And when he goes to take bath in Mrigikunda, and when he returns after bath, Swayambhu is reduced.
According to many such folklores and according to the sayings of Mahatmas, Girnar is the land of Mahadev and Siddhas. Even now there are many learned ascetics who perform penance in Girnar and come to bathe in the Mrigikund on Shivaratri to welcome Lord Shiva, and as soon as the bath is complete disappear and go back to the original place. .
