          Indian women's archery team has made it to the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics. India finished fourth in the archery qualification round, while Korea broke the Olympic record to finish first. Apart from Deepika Kumari, 3 women players from India participated, Ankita Bhagat and Bhajan Kaur.

          Female archer Deepika Kumari was born on 13 June 1994 in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. His father was an auto driver and mother was a nurse in a medical college. Born in an ordinary family, Deepika was fond of archery since childhood. As a child, she used to throw stones at the mangoes hanging on the tree and break them.

          Deepika Kumari is an Indian professional archer, Indian star Deepika Kumari is participating in the Olympics for the fourth time. She won the gold medal in the women's individual recurve event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

          Deepika Kumari won an individual gold medal in Archery World Cup Stage 1. International archer and Olympian Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das have tied the knot. Deepika-Atanu got married in a banquet hall located in Morhabadi, Ranchi.

          Deepika became the second Indian to win the title after Paltan Hansda won the junior compound event at the 2006 Archery World Cup in Merida, Mexico.

          Won the 11th Youth World Archery Championship held in Ogden, Utah, United States in 2009 at the age of 15. She also won a gold medal in the women's team recurve event along with Dolla Banerjee and Bombayla Devi.

          At the Delhi Commonwealth Games 2010, Deepika won two gold medals, one in the individual event and the other in the women's team recurve event. For this he was honored with the CWG Award for Outstanding Performance at the 2010 Sahara Sports Awards ceremony.

          Deepika missed out on a medal at the 2010 Asian Games. In May 2012, Deepika Kumari won her first World Cup individual stage recurve gold medal in Antalya, Turkey. Defeated Korea's Lee Sung-jin in the final.

          At the London Olympics 2012, Deepika Kumari lost to Great Britain's Amy Oliver in the opening round, citing a poor performance due to fever.

          With this, Deepika Kumari became the world's number one archer in women's archery. He received Arjuna Award, Sportsperson of the Year Award, Padma Bhushan and Young Achievers Award.

          On 22 July 2013, he won the gold medal in Archery World Cup Stage 3 held at Colombia. Where India was ranked fourth.

          On 22 September 2013, Deepika lost 4–6 to Yoon Ok-hee of South Korea and settled for the silver medal at the 2013 FITA Archery World Cup. This was her third silver medal in a World Cup final.
