Government of India's PMJAY scheme is a boon for the countrymen. Through this scheme poor middle class patients get insurance upto 5 lakhs for treatment of their critical diseases in any big private or hospital. In which a patient above 70 years of age gets an insurance of 5 lakh rupees alone. However, if this card is not available, the patients are seeing stars during the day in getting a new card. Then the big question is how patients can take treatment. This question is due to the fact that since last few days people who have issued Ayushya card in Ahmedabad are facing a lot of trouble. If the card is not issued at the local health center, they are shown the way to the main health center at Gitamandir. Now the server is down at Gita Mandir Arogya Kendra and the work of patients and relatives of patients who came to get the card is not going on. And if the card is applied, it takes time to get the approval from above. Recently the PMJAY card operation scam came to light, following which the rules and more operations are being tightened, which is troubling the common people who want a lifetime card. Most of the harassment is happening to people who need immediate treatment.
Applicants are forced to sit for hours due to frequent server malfunctions
Due to the slow pace of issuance of Ayushyaman cards, especially dialysis patients, patients with serious heart related diseases are also forced to wait. At the Urban Health Center or the District Health Center, only the card application is done but in the process of approval, a problem has arisen due to server failure. The situation is such that the patients who are supposed to be treated are sitting in queues to get Ayushyaman card instead of getting treatment. Server glitches and people not getting approval from above are upset and forced to push.
Patients who do not get approval on time after making the card are annoyed
Now the government has made the card issuance process more stringent after the Khyati hospital in Ahmedabad was exposed for doing wrongful angioplasty. If the server is working properly then the card is processed but the biggest delay is getting the approval from above. The approval of the card which used to come in 24 to 28 hours earlier now comes in 15 to 20 days, due to which the applicants are not getting the cards soon. Emergency patients are suffering the most here. Especially heart related patients are the most and if they are not treated on time, their lives are at risk while all the applicants have one demand that the government should speed up the approval process of the card.
