Police are searching for escaped prisoners

Police have re -arrested more than 20 escaped prisoners from areas including Kazafi Town, Shah Latif and Bhans Colony. Rangers have been deployed outside the jail and a search operation is underway in the surrounding areas.

Sindh Minister Ali Hassan Zardari has noted the incident and sought a report from the Jail Inspector General and Deputy Inspector General. He has ordered the area to be surrounded and emphasized that anyone who escapes should be captured. The investigation will reveal whether an officer had shown negligence in the entire matter.
