He said that India sells large amounts of goods to us, but we sell very little goods to them. India buy most of its oil and military products from Russia, and buy very few from the United States. He has now offered to completely reduce his tariff, but is now too late. He wanted to do this years ago. Trump said India wanted to reduce tariffs a long time ago.

Bitterness in relationships after 50 percent tariff
The relations between the two countries have been severely bitter since Trump imposed a 50 percent tariff on India. Russia is behind this bitterness.
