The earthquake of magnitude 7.7 in India's neighboring country of Myanmar was shaking the entire Bangladesh. Several parts of Bangladesh, including Dhaka and Chatgaon in Myanmar, were shocked. However, no casualties have been reported yet. According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the earthquake came at 12:25 pm, the focal point was at Mandalay, Myanmar, which is near the border of Bangladesh.
The epicenter of the earthquake was found to be 597 km away from Dhaka. The first Alo quoted the Meteorological Department's earthquake inspection and research center executive officer Mohammad Rubayat Kabir, saying that the magnitude 7.7 earthquake was considered a major earthquake. According to the USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was 10 km in the northwest of 16 km northwest of Myanmar. It was felt in many parts of Bangladesh.
