
CANABI, a growing force in the K-beauty industry known for its strong technological capabilities and consumer trust, has recently been recognised with the Korea Best Brand Award, underscoring the company’s achievements. Its skincare brand CHLENA incorporates high-purity exosomes and HS-PDRN complexes across its core products, delivering visible improvements that resonate with consumers. CEO Eum jiny stated that “product quality that consumers can genuinely recognise is the most important value that drives a brand forward,” emphasising the foundation of the company’s growth.
Eum began her career in the distribution sector in her twenties and later entered the beauty industry with the ambition of creating K-beauty products capable of standing out globally. Inspired by the worldwide rise of K-culture, she believed that only products built on clear technological differentiators would earn consumer trust and secure long-term competitiveness. This conviction ultimately shaped the founding of CANABI.

A core competitive advantage of CHLENA lies in its exclusive ingredient supply system. CANABI has entered into an exclusive supply agreement with Neocanbio, a spin-off from the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), enabling the use of high-concentration, high-purity exosomes and HS-PDRN complexes across all CHLENA formulations. According to Eum, the CHLENA line is “designed to deliver measurable improvements in brightening, elasticity, and skin regeneration,” reflecting her confidence in the brand’s performance. She added that her own longstanding concern with crater-like pores improved after using the products, further reinforcing her trust in the line’s efficacy.
Eum’s leadership philosophy draws inspiration from her role model, the late Chung Ju-yung, founder of the Hyundai Group. Reflecting on her early career at Hyundai, she admires Chung’s legacy of determination and bold execution—particularly his well-known story of envisioning Korea’s shipbuilding industry from the turtle ship image on the 500-won bill. Describing her strengths as “courage, integrity, and the drive to follow through once a decision is made,” she continues to embody the motto “where there is will, there is a way.”
CANABI offers a diverse product lineup tailored to different age groups and skin needs. The CHLENA Light line is recommended for acne-prone or combination skin among customers in their teens to thirties, while the core CHLENA line is formulated to support ageing or fatigued skin, particularly for customers aged 30 and above. Eum concluded by stating that her goal is “to create products where my satisfaction becomes someone else’s satisfaction, and to be a source of hope for others,” expressing her ambition to grow CANABI into a globally recognised beauty brand built on consumer-validated product quality.
