During the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, United States President Donald Trump highlighted the achievements of his first year in office. He stated that “America is the engine of the world economy” and when the American economy strengthens, the entire world benefits. Trump added, “If America is happy, the world is happy.”
Trump's Statement on China and Green Energy
Trump claimed that China is misleading the world in the field of green energy. He said that the American economy is currently growing rapidly and the country is experiencing an economic boom. Trump also hit back at European policies, particularly questioning large-scale immigration. According to him, Europe is not moving in the right direction at the moment and Europe has suffered as a result of migration.
The current situation in the country is stronger than ever – Trump
On this stage at the World Economic Forum, Trump addressed business leaders from around the world, his friends and sometimes enemies. “A lot of good and wonderful news has been brought together from America,” he said. Citing strong economic data and secure, closed borders, he claimed that the current situation in the country has become stronger than ever.
The annual meeting of World Economic Forum 2026 started from January 19 and will continue till January 23. About 3,000 high-level delegates from 130 countries will participate in the event, including global leaders, CEOs of business firms, activists and observers. Trump will also hold various important meetings with other global leaders during the WEF.
