According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature of the state may increase by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius in the next three days. However, after three days the temperature is likely to drop again, in which a drop of 2 to 3 degrees may be recorded. Due to this decrease, the state is once again predicted to increase in cold weather.
At present many parts of the state are experiencing cold flashes as the minimum temperature drops. Severe cold has been reported in various districts. Kutch's Nalia became the coldest place in the state with 7 degrees Celsius. Rajkot recorded a minimum temperature of 10.5 degrees, while Bhuj recorded 11.2 degrees, Disa 11.3 degrees and Diu 11.9 degrees.
The effect of cold is also being seen in the metropolis. Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 12.8 degrees, Vadodara recorded 13.8 degrees. People are feeling the chill with Surat recording 14.6 degrees, Veraval 14.7 degrees and Bhavnagar 15.2 degrees.
The Meteorological Department has advised people to be cautious and take special care of health in view of the upcoming change in temperature. More changes in the weather may be seen in the coming days. Meteorological Department has issued an alert for fishermen. The Meteorological Department has suggested not to venture into the sea. Due to the increase in the speed of the wind, it has been advised not to venture into the sea. Winds of 45 to 55 kilometers per hour are likely to blow. Winds are likely to blow in the north to northeast direction.
