
The Vadodara Municipal Corporation's budget-related general assembly is witnessing the suspension of opposition councilors in the city's politics. The mayor decided to suspend all 7 opposition councilors for allegedly violating the limits of the meeting and ignoring the order. After these steps, the tension between the ruling party and the opposition has become more acute.
According to information, Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Srivastava along with 6 other councilors were suspended for continued protest and ruckus. During the general meeting, opposition MPs raised a demand to summon the commissioner, which was rejected by the ruling party leader. There was also a heated argument between the two parties on this issue.
3.70 lakh check publicly handed over to the commissioner!
During the meeting, there was also a complaint that opposition members were speaking continuously for the last three hours. Meanwhile, Councilor Ashish Joshi has collected Rs. 3.70 lakh check is alleged to have been publicly handed over to the Commissioner. Along with this, a booklet on the alleged malpractice by the PRO department is also said to have been handed over.
The ruling party says that the decision to suspend has been taken for ignoring the orders of the mayor and senior leaders and violating the limits of the meeting.
