Dr. Hyungjin Mo of Podo Woman Clinic has received the “Global Recognition Awards 2026” hosted by the UK business awards organization Global Recognition Awards (GRA), bringing renewed international attention to the patents, publications, and academic achievements he has accumulated over the past 20 years.
In this year’s evaluation, Dr. Mo received the highest possible score of 5 across all assessment categories, including innovation, technological advancement, market impact, patent portfolio, paradigm-shifting contributions, adoption rate, and user feedback. According to the Global Recognition Awards committee, only 5.8% of approximately 15,000 annual applicants are selected through a rigorous screening process that includes quantitative analysis based on the Rasch measurement model. Dr. Mo was evaluated as demonstrating “exceptional” or “world-class” performance in every category.
One of Dr. Mo’s most recognized achievements is the development of a fourth-generation laser technique that transformed the paradigm of vulvovaginal cosmetic surgery. Traditional scalpel-and-suture methods, which had been used for decades, carried structural limitations such as tissue contraction, reduced tactile sensation, and difficulties in achieving personalized outcomes. To overcome these limitations, Dr. Mo developed a pure laser energy-based 3D procedure that does not require suturing. The technique enables precise aesthetic correction without the tissue damage commonly associated with conventional methods and is considered clinically significant for minimizing scars, nerve damage, and sensory impairment.
The clinical data supporting the technology has also attracted international attention. Dr. Mo presented the results of a single-center study involving approximately 1,800 patients conducted over a three-year period at the IFFAS 2025 international academic conference. More than 90% patient satisfaction was reported across all laser procedures, with consistently positive outcomes in scar minimization and nerve function preservation. The findings drew interest from the global medical community, as they demonstrated the stability and reproducibility of the technique across a large and diverse patient population beyond a controlled small-scale environment.
Dr. Mo has also maintained active involvement in patent development and medical publishing. He participated in the development of the first urinary incontinence treatment device equipped with a pressure sensor and holds patents related to the sutureless 3D laser procedure published in international surgical journals. Each patent application targeted specific clinical challenges that existing technologies had failed to address, contributing not only to technological protection but also to the establishment of new academic terminology and concepts within the field.
Through books such as Basic Concepts and Case Studies in Female Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Next-Generation Women’s Medicine, Dr. Mo has provided systematic educational resources for medical professionals in the field of gynecologic aesthetic surgery. He has also served as an invited speaker at international academic conferences, including events hosted by the European Society of Basal Nerve Anatomy. Since 2004, he has remained actively involved in associations related to female cosmetic surgery. He was previously named among the world’s top 100 doctors by the Cambridge International Biographical Centre and was also listed in Marquis Who’s Who, one of the world’s most recognized biographical directories.
Alex Sterling, spokesperson for the Global Recognition Awards, stated, “His ability to develop surgical techniques, validate them on a large scale, protect them through intellectual property rights, and educate others represents world-class achievement across every evaluation category.”
A representative from Podo Woman Clinic commented, “Our activities spanning surgical innovation, patents, publications, and academic lectures are being recognized both domestically and internationally. We will continue our commitment to technological research and educational initiatives in the future.”
