Thousands of devotees are thronging the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple in Abu Dhabi every day for darshan. The temple has been opened for general devotees from March 1. There are reports that around 40,000 devotees visit this temple in a day.
Even in the pictures, a huge crowd of devotees can be seen in the temple premises. This temple was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 14. PM Modi also thanked UAE President Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the construction of this temple. It is the first Hindu temple of its kind in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi’s Hindu temple has been built at a cost of 700 crore rupees. The temple has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 700 crore on an area of 27 acres near Al Rahba on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway. The land for the temple has been donated by the UAE government.
Abu Dhabi’s first Hindu temple is built in the Nagar style. Similarly, Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya. According to temple volunteer Umesh Raja, more than 20 thousand tons of limestone were carved in Rajasthan and brought to Abu Dhabi in 700 containers.
The temple will be open on all days except Mondays from 9 am to 8 pm. BAPS Head of International Relations Swami Brahmaviharidas said, “Here architectural methods are combined with scientific techniques.
