The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa. It allows American companies to hire foreign workers. An H-1B visa is issued whenever a person works for an American company.
Until now, if a person’s H-1B visa expired, they had to return to their home country to renew it. But now you don’t have to come home for the renewal process. The visa will be renewed only after staying in America.
Simplifying the H-1B visa renewal process will benefit nearly one million people, and a large number of them will be Indians. Millions of Indians work in America. In 2022, the US government granted H-1B to 4.42 lakh people. Out of which 73 percent were Indians.
