26 seats are going to polls in Gujarat and now only 5 weeks are left for the polls… All the three parties are gearing up but the Rupala controversy has created problems for the BJP. Looking at the kind of situation that is emerging now, it can be said that if the controversy does not end in the coming days, then the situation may become chaotic before the Lok Sabha elections of BJP and there is no disagreement.
BJP stuck between two societies?
In the Rupala controversy, it seems that a state of confusion has been created in the BJP. This instability is because the opposition is getting bigger after the elections. Politically, the BJP is trying to settle the dispute but the reality is that the dispute is far from over. The only demand of Kshatriyas is that the candidate should be changed at any cost and only if this happens they will accept compromise and if the candidate is not changed then the fire of protest will be seen in the coming days.
What is the solution to the Rupala dispute?
The problem in Rajkot seat is increasing continuously for BJP. BJP is trapped because now what if the party does? This question is because if the candidate does not change, BJP will have to bear the displeasure of the Rajputs. Rajputs say that Rajputs have the strength to cause a big loss to BJP on 8 seats in the state and if BJP does not accept the demand, Kshatriyas will create a challenge for the party in the next Lok Sabha elections.
Patidars are upset if the candidate changes
This is about the Kshatriyas who are firm on their demand, on the other hand the problem is that if the BJP replaces Rupala, the displeasure of the Patidars will have to flow. So, on one hand, there are Rajputs politically, on the other hand, there are Patidars. BJP knows that the displeasure of Patidars cannot be tolerated at all. This is also because the party has seen the results once by offending the Patidars. In the 2017 assembly, the party could not get even 3 digit seats and the party was restricted to 99 seats in the assembly. So the party does not want to experience that again
If the candidate does not change, the Kshatriyas are upset
Especially if we look at the statistics of Saurashtra, both Patidars and Kshatriyas have political strength in Saurashtra, that is, there are a large number of voters from both communities. Then it is important to know and understand what decision BJP takes in which direction. One thing is certain that this dispute is not limited to Rajkot but the whole of Saurashtra and the state. And even in that seat which is in dispute, in Rajkot seat, BJP is equally trapped in the caste equation.
