300 Indians have been arrested by police in Cambodia. The arrested Indians were brought to Cambodia illegally. Most of these are said to be from Andhra Pradesh. According to Andhra Pradesh Police, 300 Indians who were illegally taken to Cambodia revolted against their handlers on May 20. Due to which most of them have been arrested.
Recently, a case of this kind of human trafficking also came to light from Russia. However, this involved the arrest of an accused who had illegally sent Indians to Russia. Four people were arrested in India on charges of forcing youths from India to fight in the war in Ukraine, who were sent to Russia with the promise of lucrative jobs or admission to prestigious universities.
The arrest took place in Delhi. The accused were identified as Arun and Yesudas Jr., residents of Kerala. Using social media platforms, human traffickers lured Indian youth with the lure of jobs in Russia with good salary packages.

Talking about the case of 300 Indians arrested in Cambodia, the police said that 150 of these people are residents of Visakhapatnam and have been trapped in Cambodia for the past one year. Where all these are forced by Chinese operators to commit cybercrime or Ponzi scam.
Three arrested in India
Visakhapatnam Police Commissioner A. Ravishankar said that many people contacted Visakhapatnam police through WhatsApp and sent videos of Indians trapped in Cambodia. About 300 Indians revolted against their handlers in Cambodia. On May 18, the Visakhapatnam police arrested Chuka Rajesh, S. Kondal Rao and M. Dyaneshwar Rao was arrested on charges of human trafficking. The accused were caught luring youths in India to get them data entry jobs in Singapore, but actually sending them to Cambodia instead of Singapore to commit cyber crimes.
For what kind of work was pressured?
After arriving in Cambodia, the youths were held captive by Chinese handlers, subjected to physical and mental torture and forced to engage in game fraud, stock market fraud and other online criminal activity, police said.
The Visakhapatnam police approached the Ministry of External Affairs and concerned departments to help and bring back the trapped people, as most of them have been jailed since Monday's riots. According to Visakhapatnam's Joint Police Commissioner Fakkarappa Kaginelli, around 5,000 people from across the country have been sent to Cambodia through various agents.
