Rohit Sharma can play in ODI series in Sri Lanka
If Rohit Sharma goes on the tour to Sri Lanka, he will also be seen holding the responsibility of captaincy in this series. According to the report, there are chances of Rohit playing the ODI series in Sri Lanka, as India will not play the ODI series for a long time before the Champions Trophy to be held in February-March next year.

Rohit Sharma has not confirmed anything about playing
Currently, Rohit Sharma is spending holidays with family. He visited the UK with his wife and daughter only after winning the T20 World Cup. However, Rohit is yet to make any confirmation about playing in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. But, it is believed that soon he will inform the BCCI about his availability.
Gambhir discussed the selection of players
A meeting chaired by Ajit Agarkar was held regarding the selection of Team India for the Sri Lanka tour, in which BCCI Secretary Jay Shah was also present. Gautam Gambhir, who became the new head coach, participated in the online meeting from his home. It is being said that Gambhir has held many discussions with the selectors regarding the selection of players.
