England batsman Joe Root finally scored a century in his favorite ground lords, failing to play big innings in Leeds and Birmingham.
This is the 37th century of the Route Test career and with this he left behind the great Indian batsman Rahul Dravid and Australia star Steve Smith. Both scored 36-36 centuries.
On the first day of the Lord’s Test, if the route was unbeaten on 99 and the next day, he completed his 37th Test century by scoring the four on the ball.
With the 37th century, Joe Root has become the fifth batsman to score the highest century in the Test after Sachin Tendulkar (51), Jacques Kallis (45), Ricky Ponting (41) and Kumar Sangakkara (38).
