According to the ICC Rulebook, Rule No. 5 “The BAT” states a clear guideline of the bat size and composition.
The length of the bat is limited to a maximum of 38 inches (96.5 centimeters) and width 4.25 inches (10.8 centimeters).
Only wood is used in the main part of the bat, while the handle can be made with a different material, but it can be made according to the rules.
The weight of the bat is not clear in the ICC Rulebook, but its shape and size should be according to the rule. If the bat is large or weighty, the umpire may refuse to play with it.
Customization should also be in accordance with the rules for any change or technical advantage with the bat. (All Photo Credit: PTI / ICC / MCC / X)
