Captain Shubhman Gill, who scored the highest scorer with four centuries in the five -Test series against England, has received a big award for his performance. It has been selected by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as the ICC Player of the Manth.
Gill was honored by defeating England captain Ben Stokes and Africa's all -rounder Vian Mulder. After Rohit Sharma's retirement from Test cricket, Gill was given the Test team captainship and India drew the Test series in England.
Shubhman Gill, who scored the highest 754 runs with four centuries on England tour, has received the ICC Player of the Month Award for the fourth time. Earlier, it was also honored in February this year and in January 2023 in January and September.
After winning the award, Shubhman Gill said, "It was a great pleasure to be selected as the ICC Player of the Month for July. This time it is more special because I received this honor for my performance during my first Test series as captain."
Gill scored 754 runs in the five -Test series against England. With this, Gill reached second on the list of the highest runs by the batsman in the Test series. Gill was selected as the Player of the Series for this wonderful performance.
