The South Zone team has been announced for the Duleep Trophy, in which Karnataka's young fast bowler Vijay Kumar Vaisakha has not made it to the team.
According to reports, Vaisakh failed in the fitness test held at the BCCI's Center of Excellence, which led to the exit of the team.
All players have to pass a fitness test before playing a domestic cricket match. Team India players had to pass this fitness test before the Asia Cup.
This fitness test includes the Yo Yo Test and Bronco Test, which is mandatory to pass. It is not known which test Vaisakh failed.
Vaisakh's expulsion is bad news for the southern zone as it has been performing well for a long time. Vaisakh has taken 103 wickets in 26 first class matches and his bowling average is 23.88 which is very good. (All Photo Credit: PTI / GETTY / ESPN)
