Huge commotion in live match
Thunder scored 43 runs without losing a wicket in 2.5 overs, but heavy rain stopped the game. The Thunder needed three runs from the last to win, but the umpires declared the ball slippery and called it off, much to everyone's surprise. Young Thunder star Phoebe Litchfield expressed her disappointment at the cancellation of the match, saying, “Very disappointed. It's a shame.” Meanwhile, Strikers captain Tahlia McGrath said, “Tough call. The rain had stopped, but the ball was slippery. The umpires got it right.”
